Sixteen years ago Bill Gates, interested in expanding his company, Microsoft, set out to find a school that was based on technology skills. To his amazement he discovered that there was not a school that was focused on math, science, and information technology. After one year of searching with no success Mr. Gates gave up. He then came up with the idea of funding a school for young people that met all his standards for his employees. He spent large amounts of money so the school would be completed quickly and so that it would have the best of quality products despite the cost. The school was opened in 1986. Fifteen years later, here at MASI we are producing many young men and women that are accepted to the finest of colleges. MASI also turns out many students in high demand by large companies all around the world regardless of their lack of college degrees.
