Due to high demands and limited space MASI has very stringent qualifications. The student must have a current GPA of 4.0, regardless of what he or she has obtained in the past. The student must also write an essay of 1000 words describing why they think they are eligible for MASI. This essay is also to show that they have a genuine interest in math, science and information technology. Previous awards or achievement test scores in math, science and IT are also helpful. The student may apply once every year.
